This is an original OEM steel tub for a 1981-1986 Jeep CJ7-the real deal, not an aftermarket reproduction.


  • Grade A condition (CJ grading) - extremely clean and rust-free
  • Factory black, repainted - paint is thin and easy to remove for your project
  • Torque pockets immaculate - strong factory metal with zero corrosion
  • Minor wear at roll bar mount areas, very typical for CJ7s



When it comes to CJ7 tubs, Grade A is as good as it gets. We grade these differently than YJs and TJs because clean, original CJ tubs are nearly impossible to find. Even minor imperfections here would be considered flawless by CJ standards.



Fits 1981-1986 CJ7 Directly, 1976-1980 with Minor Adjustments



While this tub is correct for 1981-1986 models, it can also be used on 1976-1980 CJ7s. There are a few subtle differences-things like bracket placement and small details-which we explain further on our Knowledge Page at PartsBreakers.com.


This tub has solid floors, a beautiful underside, and no liner covering anything up. It's ready to be prepped, painted, and installed.
